Lightning dream meaning
Lightning may signal brief happiness and prosperity. A nearby strike with a felt shock suggests harm from a friend’s good fortune or distress from gossip; a strike on you points to sorrow. Direction and dark clouds alter the outlook.

Personal symbolism
Lightning is sudden and intense, and the dream gives its position and surroundings distinct meanings. A brief spell of happiness and prosperity may follow; lightning above you suggests joy and gain, while being struck points to sorrow in business or love. A nearby strike that you feel connects a friend’s good fortune with harm to you, or with gossip. The direction also matters: some points bring luck or brighter prospects, while the south delays fortune and the north brings obstacles. Dark, ominous clouds carry threats, loss, and disappointment.
